Tips on improving your mental game for basketball:

• Stop thinking: The more you think, the more it will adversely affect your performance. Don’t think too much, and just let yourself go.

• Stop being scared: Fear of failure is worse than failure itself. Don’t let the fear factor get to your nerves- it is all about confidence.

• Concentrate on your zone: Zone is the area where playing becomes fun and all shots seem easy. Practice in the zone and try getting in the zone as much as possible.

• Relax: When you have a relaxed mind, you have a relaxed body. A relaxed body gives a better game than a stiff body.

• Positive attitude: Have a positive attitude- not just for the game, but for everything else as well. It will help you give better performance.
