“When I’m out on the football field, I have so much confidence in what I’m doing.” – Tom Brady
As a Football Mental Game Coach, I have experienced firsthand how beliefs, attitudes, and mindsets influence performance.
My passion for sports and sports psychology for football started early in life and continues to grow as I have participated in various sports myself and have work with a number of football players.
Throughout high school and college, I have experienced both the joys of winning and the lessons of defeat. After working in sports for many years, I went on to study and research sports psychology and the way that football mental attitudes shape performance.
The more I studied champion athletes and their mindsets, the more I realized that confidence is the key to performing well and having a strong football mental game.
Armed with the know-how needed to build champion athletes, I am excited to make available my workbook An Athlete’s Guide to Peak Performance Series-Building Confidence. This workbook helps athletes – whether junior, amateur, or seasoned professional – excel in his or her sport. It also helps coaches, athletic trainers, and even sport parents of aspiring athletes.
The workbook pulls together over 20 years of experience working with athletes and clinical knowledge to provide strategies for improving football confidence and other football psychology techniques.
Whether you are a young athlete or someone who makes a living as a professional athlete, you will gain practical knowledge for increasing confidence, properly handling pressure and adversity, and becoming the athlete you want to be, while demonstrating the importance of committing to and enjoying the process.
The workbook also provides sports parents and coaches insights into how to deal with the challenges and pitfalls that arise as athletes progress in sports. From handling the inevitable pressure and frustrations and honing the appropriate message for varying age ranges and skill levels to recognizing the real performance enhancers and how to keep burnout at bay, this workbook incorporates them all.
