“My success is the outcome of my work. I am willing to do the work.” Delice Coffey
Did you know…
Research by Dr. Peter Crocker (a professor of kinesiology and associate member of psychology at the University of British Columbia) shows that, when parents and young athletes start to focus too much on the outcome, in terms of measuring success, it can be destructive. When you are focused on the outcome and you attach your worth to the outcome, you will find yourself very resistant to trying new things and putting forth your best effort.
It also leads to you not focusing on what you need to do in the present which often means more mistakes or not performing at your best.
